Tlazoltiani Jessica Zamarripa

Speaker, Trainer & Workshop Facilitator

Tlazoltiani Jessica Zamarripa is a speaker, workshop facilitator on such topics as parent and family engagement for Latinx and BIPOC families, mental health advocacy and reconnecting to ancestral and spiritual wisdoms for individual and collective wellbeing. Tlazoltiani also has experience working with and speaking to adolescents, particularly marginalized teens regarding positive identity development.  

Tlazoltiani is a longtime mami-activist, Danzante de La Luna, Temzacalera and community organizer working toward social justice within Chicanx, Latinx & BIPOC communities. She is a founding member of Academia Cuauhtli, a local Austin language and cultural revitalization school program for Spanish speaking Mexican American elementary students.  

Healing Circle Facilitator

Tlazoltiani is also a healing/restorative circle facilitator for adolescents and adults. She works with business, agency, education, mental health and community contexts.

Tlazoltiani guides participants through a non-hierarchical, trauma-informed process to foster a deep sense of collective wisdom.

Whether you need a Community Building Circle to develop a stronger sense of kinship and team cohesion, or a Restorative Justice Circle to address a specific incident of harm, Tlazoltiani's creates the conditions necessary for open, dignified, and honest communication, ensuring every voice is heard and centering the collective responsibility for well-being. This work is ideal for businesses, educational settings, and community organizations seeking to move toward sustainable accountability, mutual respect, and a truly interconnected community.

Dr. Manuel X. Zamarripa

Dr. Manuel X. Zamarripa speaks to professional, student and community organizations. Dr. Zamarripa often speaks on destigmatizing and decolonizing mental health in Chicanx/Latinx and BIPOC communities with a focus on bringing forth cultural strengths and resources.

Dr. Zamarripa was awarded the University of Texas System Chancellor’s “Innovations in Education Award” (2007). In 2023, Dr. Zamarripa was recognized with a Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Wisconsin’s School of Education and was also awarded an American Psychological Association Presidential Citation for his advancement of Chicana/o/x Psychology.

Manuel has been featured on NPR and in the L.A. Times. He is also a past president of the National Latinx Psychological Association.

Chicano Psychologist, Dr. Zamarripa, is a licensed professional counselor and supervisor (Texas) and received his doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, his master’s in Counseling Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University, and his bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Notre Dame.
